Michael Jackson + Farrah Fawcett Pass Away

As most of you have heard, pop legend Michael Jackson died today at 5:26PM EDT. He was 50. It is said that a call was placed to 911 to report that Michael had collapsed at his home in west L.A., and once the paramedics got there he was unresponsive.

Today is a sad day; not only in the music world, but in the world as a whole. Michael Jackson was one of the best to ever do what he did and his music will live on forever. He is truly an iconic legend that no one will be able to forget. From elders to children, all have heard and enjoyed Michael's timeless music. I would just like to give my deepest condolences to the Jackson family at this time. I know it's hard to lose a loved one, but we must be thankful that they no longer have to suffer on this place called earth. Rest in Peace Michael Jackson :(

And also, I would like to give my condolences to the Fawcett and O'Neal families. Farrah Fawcett also died today at 12:28PM EDT from a 3-year battle with anal cancer. She was 62. I didn't know much about her, but she was a lady loved by many. I do know that she was an 60's-70's icon who many grew to love and cherish. She was such a beautiful lady, the first time I saw her as a child, I thought she was simply GORGEOUS, and I still do. I even wanted my hair to be like hers, but I didn't have that much lol. Rest in Peace Farrah Fawcett :(

Lil Mama Can Sing??

I was on twitter and one of my friend posted a link saying how Lil Mama can "SANG" so I just HAD to check it out! Sure enough, there she is singing Alicia Keys' "No One" to her boyfriend [who is a CUTIE! Go Mama!]. I think she sounds pretty decent to be quite honest!! The only thing that disturbed me a little was the way she was looking at him while she was singing lol. I still think she's a better rapper. That girl can SPIT...better than some male rappers...*OOOH!

I Think I've Fallen in Love...

This post is dedicated to one of the two items that has taken over my heart: the Nike Swooshless Blazer. *cue the heavenly chorus* If you didn't know, I'm a sucker for fly tennis shoes and a hott pair of heels...check the closet lol! I just love shoes...well, fashion! But I don't need to say anymore, I'm gonna let the shoes talk for themselves.

These shoes are HOTT!! When I first spotted these at TheShoeGame.com, I almost had a heart attack! Here's the details via TheShoeGame:

"Nike just released a new Blazer and it seems they’re going swooshless. As an innovative alternative, the Nike moniker is featured along the side panel. The Blazer is featured in a suede/patent upper with the Nike label in a safari print. The grey/yellow colorway gives a cool subtle vibe to the shoe overall. A hot Blazer or cold product? Could we possibly see more Blazer releases like this in the future? You decide. These are available now at select Nike retailers."

When I read that they're available at select Nike retailers, I began my search then and there. But lucky me, living in Alabama probably won't be able to find them ANYWHERE [except maybe the Eastdale Mall in Montgomery]. But I'm gonna keep looking until I find them, I might have to end up ordering them tho...

Don't you just love basketball??

I LOVE basketball!! I may not be the best player on the team, but I have a passion for the sport...it's amazing. I've been watching the playoffs religiously lol. If you didn't know, my all-time favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers [thanks Uncle Anthony!]. I've been a Laker fan since I was very young and I still am! Last year, I was pulling for them, but my boys got beat by the Celtics. Although Orlando is pretty fye [I will give them their props], I still believe the Lakers are gonna take it all. I just knew it was gonna be the Cavs and the Lakers, but obviously it didn't work out that way. If it did though, I would still be going for the Lakers but if the Cavs would have won, I can't say that I would have been too disappointed because I like them too.

But while I'm not the biggest Kobe fan, I like the dude and he HAS been doing his thing...you can't deny that! Alot of people don't like him and/or hate on him, but I don't see why he's so bad in their eyes. Can someone enlighten me?? I REALLY wanna know what's so wrong with Kobe. But it's whatever, L.A. is still about to get in the Magic (pause).

How Rude Can You Be??

Earlier this week, MC Hammer and his 11-year-old son made an appearance on the Today Show. Well, it seems that Ms. Kathy Lee tried to embarrass Hammer about blowing 33 million dollars...in front of his son! But Hammer didn't fall for it, he strayed away from the question in a very good manner which I think was done very properly. Although she tried to get smart about it, he still handled his.

Some people just don't know what's appropriate and what's not...
