State Championships at the BJCC

For those high school basketball fans out there - it's time. Time where both girls' and boys' basketball teams from all over the state come to Birmingham, Alabama, to compete for the state championship titles (and bragging rights) in whichever class they dominate.

Although there is some stiff competition out there, as always, I must say I will definitely be rooting for the Anniston High School Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs! This post is dedicated to them and what winning a state title will do for the city of Anniston and Anniston High School.

Anniston is quite a small city; not minute, but not massive either. Many of the people that live here are retirees or people who have been here their whole lives and have raised their families and subsequent generations in the city. At 9:00 p.m., almost everything is closed, and there is really nothing to do for fun except for going to the movie theater, mall, bowling alley, or skating rink - or Wal-Mart. Despite this, many of us Annistonians love our city though out-of-towners wouldn't deem it as much.

That is why we as a city need one or both of these state titles. Anniston High School winning a state title in basketball would definitely boost the morale of both residents of Anniston and students of the school. Anniston High School has a fairly poor reputation around the city, but winning a state title in basketball would empower the students and make them feel like winners. It would also bring about good news to come out of the high school instead of the usual bad news.

If either of the Bulldog teams win the championship, I'm sure there will be a great celebration on their behalf. Anniston is a declining city who has been knocked down quite a few times and needs some good cheer brought to town. If the Bulldogs were to bring home a title, it would be more than a trophy, a championship ring, or bragging rights, it would be a major confidence boost to all of Anniston and would be something good that the city is known for.

"Here come the Bulldogs. Here coming the Bulldogs. Someone's in the stands yelling, 'Hooray for Bulldogs!' 1-2-3-4 Who ya gonna yell for? Bulldogs, that's who!!"

Let's go Bulldogs! We're all rooting for you!

See, This Is Why I Rock With Necole!

I swear she stays on her grind with the really crazy and twisted stories!! I feel what she's saying tho about not taking sides and all these "witnesses" and "close sources". I'm not gonna judge either Chris or Rihanna becuz I don't know the actual story and even then, I'm not going to judge them becuz that's not my place.

Here's the link to read Necole's breakdown of this whole whatever you wanna call it. It's long but WELL worth it.

Chris Brown & Rihanna

Of course everyone's favorite topic right is the whole lil confrontation between Chris Brown & Rihanna. Honestly, I don't know what to believe! As of now, these are many of the rumors (and some truths) circulating about the incident:

  • She gave him Herpes (hence the cold sores from a few weeks ago.)
  • He was cheating on her and she also cheated on him.
  • Chris has a history of domestic violence and is just acting out.
  • Chris' Wrigley endorsements (Wrigley's gum commercials, Got Milk? ads) are being pulled and his music is banned from being played on select radio stations.
  • Rihanna is jealous of Chris' relationship with his manager, Tina Davis.
  • Rihanna now has a broken nose, a split lip, bite marks on her hands and arms, contusions on her face, and alot of bruising and swelling.
  • Chris assaulted her with a deadly weapon.

I have no "idear" what the real truth is, all I know is that this story twists up more and more each day and I'm ready for the truth to come out and it all be over! All I know is the homie, Necole Bitchie couldn't have said it any better! Preach!
